Kemon The Italian Touch Fall/Winter 2011-12 Collection
Art, cinema, performance, glamour – these are what define Scenographie, the mood that inspired the latest Italian Touch Collection from Kemon. The looks are reminiscent of a scenic backdrop created to transform women into starlets, where fashion takes center stage. The overall mood of the collection can be best described in three acts: Chic, Street and Glamour. These acts work together as three separate aspects of a woman, coming together to create the ultimate heroine in this season’s tale of beauty and fashion.
Chic
This look is better known as the night life, with its lights and music, clubs and discos, theatres and premieres, and parties that end at dawn. The night is, in essence, a stage where this woman becomes a star: a diva from another epoch, adorned with lights and sparkling like a shimmering moth in the night. One of the makeup trends for the evening is to raise the outline of the eye, using warm colors like bronze, brown, burnt earth and gold. The eyes are often defined with a bold black eyeliner, alongside a natural-looking face and lips. The hair plays with tones of brown and beige, with the locks forming a tempting picture that is reminiscent of creamy chocolates and soft hazelnut.
Street
This look calls to mind a young, dynamic woman who takes the city, the street and daily life on with joy and a positive attitude. She gets her fill of everything the fashion world has to offer: colors, fabrics, embroidered designs – a mix of styles that tell the story of half a century of history through plaids and colors, flowers and needlework. The makeup is a play of earth tones and focuses all the attention on the eyes, which are sensual and deep. The hair has a rich variety of intense tones painted on with unambiguous brushstrokes where colour gradates from the most intense coppers to the softest tones of Indian spices.
Glamour
This is the perfect look for going out for a cocktail, where fashion allows us to rediscover the pleasure of wearing elegant clothing, toned down in an unusual interpretation that gives a nod to bourgeois conventions. The look allows us to play with cuts and colors, combinations and experiments, in the spirit of a new creativity. For makeup the smoky look uses dark tones to bring out the eyes by giving more drama with shades of brown and black brushed onto flesh-coloured eyelids. The blush, in shades of bronze, is used to define cheekbones and lips. The hair is a weapon of seduction: long, blonde, wavy, with golden platinum tones that fall in sinuous curves on the shoulders grabbing attention like a spotlight in the night – either gathered, like a film noir silhouette, or lacksadaisically arranged, in perfect “Parisian” style. This woman represents the uninhibited and fatal sensuality of every heroine who fuels our secret fantasies.
