Kemon Takes Canada by Storm
Canadian-based STORM Hair Group raves about Kemon color
Once again, Kemon is delivering results to rave reviews.
One of the latest professional hair care groups to discover why Kemon color is far superior to other professional lines is Canadian-based STORM Hair Group. Owned and operated by Luca Crescia, Michael De Prophetis and Ian Hearth, the STORM Hair Group discovered Kemon hair color just last year. They have since brought nearly every single color line by the Italian-based manufacturer into their salons and their clients couldn’t be happier.

What would you say has been the key to STORM Hair Group’s success?
The key to our success starts with our continued education and our team. Each team member is specialized in their own departments. We have Color Specialists and Cutting Specialists that work together to provide our guests with a great experience from start to finish. This enables our team to become fully focused and educated in their specific field of expertise. STORM also stands behind our guarantee to ensure each guest is satisfied with their service.
How did you hear about Kemon?
We heard about Kemon in Italy at CosmoProf 2010. I was intrigued by what I had seen and contacted tng worldwide and was put in contact with our Beauty Expert Lori Fuchs. Lori was great and sent me all the information I needed.
You traveled to Michigan to try out Kemon’s color lines. What was the impression you left with after working with them?
After coming to Michigan, the impression I left with was that Kemon was definitely a color line that I wanted to have in my salon. Kemon has so many tools to work with from each of their different color lines that you can achieve many versatile looks. I was impressed with the way the color performed. The educators, as well as the staff that I had the pleasure of meeting and working with were all very helpful and l immediately knew that this would be a company that I would enjoy working with.
How have you implemented the color lines in your salon?
How are your stylists learning to work with them and what are their reactions? The stylists love working with all of the Kemon color. We first brought in the Yo Coloring and Coloro lines and then couldn’t wait to integrate NaYo, as well as the Liding and Ritual products. The immediate reaction from our staff was that the color was odorless and it leaves the hair in great condition.
Why did you choose to carry NaYo?
What has the response been like from both your employees and your clients? We chose to carry NaYo because we are extremely happy with the results we get. Our staff and guests continually comment on the complete gray coverage and that the color has little to no fading. The guests have no discomfort with scalp irritation or odor and their hair has incredible shine and conditioning. We also chose to carry NaYo because it stands behind what STORM is about, and that is to care for the environment through the ingredients we use on our guests.
What style color trends are popular among your clients now?
The most popular looks among our guests now are very soft and natural, but bold at the same time, which we can easily achieve with Kemon – a full color with a little dimension to add some depth and interest. Our blondes are now beautiful platinum and beige blondes, our reds are now new bombshell redheads and our brunettes are gorgeously rich and deep.
How does Kemon improve your ability to deliver on current styling trends?
Kemon offers many tools and education in their complete line that makes it easy to deliver current trends. The individual colors give those long-lasting vibrant rich tones that all guests are looking for. The products are so gentle that color corrections are more feasible, they have products that lift on color, lowlights that will last without having to fill and many more tools. All of these contribute to the staff’s ability to meet our guests’ expectations and deliver current trends.
How important is education for your staff?
Have you taken advantage of Kemon’s stylist education opportunities? Education is vital to our success and extremely important to our staff. We have been lucky enough to have two of Kemon’s educators come to our locations and deliver two great classes this year. They were so knowledgeable and creative that the staff was truly inspired. We will also be taking part in Kemon’s Coaches program to hopefully provide education within Canada.
What do you feel makes this line superior to other professional lines?
The ingredients alone are far superior to other color lines. It is PPD-free, there is little to no ammonia in each of the product lines and many natural ingredients such as chamomile, certified organic flax and calendula, just to mention a few. Kemon offers such a wide range of color lines and tools that all color services are achievable. The condition of the hair and the longevity of the color are also far superior to other professional products that are on the market today.
